Smackover’s Chamber of Commerce will host the third annual Christmas on Broadway celebration Dec. 7.

The celebration will be all day and will include pictures with Santa from 4 - 6 p.m.. The tree lighting will be at 6 p.m. at Kennedy Park, and Eddie’s Cross will begin at the same time.

Last year, merchants offered sales, prize giveaways and drawings and refreshments.

The Salvation Army will also be there handing out hot chocolate and cookies.

The library will also celebrate the holidays through the Smackover Toy Drive to benefit children in the community. Toys can be donated at the library until Dec. 20. They can also be donated at the Union County Public Library Systems’ Christmas Party from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Barton Public Library on East 5th Street.

Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources Foundation is also celebrating the holidays with its annual Holiday Light Extravaganza.
