Junction City downs Fordyce

FORDYCE - Junction City continued its tear through the month of April Monday afternoon, as the Dragons downed Fordyce 10-0 in an 8-2A contest.

T.J. Bale and Ty Disotell combined on a no-hitter for the Dragons (20-5, 7-0), who extended their winning streak to 12 straight and took on Parkers Chapel for the conference title Tuesday.

Bale went the first two innings and recorded three strikeouts, while Disotell struck out three over the final three innings.

Leading 4-0 in the fourth, Jack Smith broke the game open by hitting a grand slam to extend the lead to 8-0.

Tanner McLelland had two hits and two RBIs, while Bryce Ware drove in two runs and had a single in the win.

Kristian Hodge had a double and a single, and Kelly Graves had a double to round out the Dragons’ attack.

Junction City will host Smackover in a battle between Union County rivals today.

Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
