FOUKE - Smackover bounced back from a 4-0 loss to Ashdown on Wednesday with a dominating 18-2 win at Fouke on Thursday. The Lady Bucks improved to 16-2 overall and 7-1 in conference.

“I thought it was big of them. We beat this team in eight innings last week,” said Smackover coach Dennis Steele. “I thought they came back and played well, good pitching and good defense, for the most part.”

Smackover banged out 27 hits, including 10 doubles, against Fouke. The Lady Bucks scored nine runs in the sixth to put the game away. Lydia Pullin led the offensive charge, going 4-for-5, including a solo homer in the fifth.

Abbi Crawford held Fouke to just six hits with a walk and five strikeouts. Both of the runs surrendered were in the third inning.

The Lady Bucks opened the scoring with five in the second. Karis Robinson and Megan Mullin both singled. Mackenzie Preston drove in a run with a double. Pullin singled in a run before Karli Goocher drove in two with a double. Crawford added a RBI single.

In the fourth, Pullin singled and scored on Goocher’s double. Malorie Pullin doubled in a run and Sabrina Estridge had a RBI single.

Smackover batted around in the ninth. Estridge singled and Mullin doubled before Vanessa Lofton drove both in with a double off the fence. Preston doubled in a run. After Lydia Pullin and Goocher singled, Mullin drove in a pair with a double. Crawford singled in two more runs. Estridge doubled in a run and Lofton added a single and a RBI.

Goocher and Malorie Pullin both went 4-for-5 with Crawford, Estridge and Robinson adding three hits apiece. Every Smackover batter had at least two hits.
