Joshua Paul “Josh” Koon age 35 of El Dorado passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at his home. Josh was born on March 19, 1984 in Bremerton, Washington to parents Steve and Carolyn. Josh was from Sardis, Saline County AR and was a 2002 graduate of Bryant High School. After high School, Josh attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. He studied public relations and was a proud member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity during his two years at UCA. Josh was employed by Altice Technical Services, formerly Suddenlink Communications in El Dorado for the past seven years and was currently serving as Operation Supervisor for the past three years. Josh enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with his kids. His kids were his life, which was evident in his many Facebook posts and conversations with others. He was a loving son, brother, friend and an awesome dad, whom will be sorely missed by all.
Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents and by his Dad, Rocky Wayne Koon SR.
Survivors include; one daughter, Karley Koon; one son, Wesson Paul Koon, both of Parkers Chapel; his mother, Carolyn S. Simmons of El Dorado, his biological father, Stephen Headley of Cabot, AR; three brothers, Rocky Wayne Koon Jr. and wife Renae, Tommy Koon and wife Rhonda, all of Sardis, AR, and Gary Koon of Mabelvale, AR along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will begin at noon on Thursday, April 11, 2019, followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Tracy Roden officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
