Barton’s seventh-grade football team improved its record to 2-0 by shutting out Camden Fairview 14-0 Tuesday.
Tyani Littleton opened the scoring on an 8-yard run.
The Wildkittens’ second score came through the air, as Sam York fired a 65-yard touchdown pass to T.J. Brogdon to extend the lead to 12-0.
The two-point conversion was successful with Jaheem Heard hauling in a pass to make the final margin.
The coaching staff singled out the play of the defense, particularly the defensive line, in the win.
Barton will look to extend its winning streak to three Saturday morning when they travel to Magnolia.
Game time is set for 10 a.m.
