HAROLD D. AINSWORTH

Harold D. Ainsworth, age 80, of Rockwall, Texas passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Plano, Texas.

Harold was born on Oct. 18, 1937 in El Dorado, to the late William G. and Lucille Ainsworth of Wesson.

Harold’s priorities were his immediate family and he enjoyed cooking for them and others. He last worked in Seminole, Texas from 1997–2014 as a crop insurance agent and loved keeping the office full of farmers and friends. In his youth, he was a tough Arkansas boy who became independent at a very young age. After graduating from El Dorado High School, he left home at the age of seventeen to play professional baseball for the Detroit Tigers organization from 1955-1956. He then served in the U.S. Army in Korea, followed by over a half a century of love and support for his family. Harold will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Ann Ainsworth of Rockwall, Texas. three daughters Tammy Gerber of Seminole, Texas, Deanna Wyse and husband Erik of Sunnyvale, Texas and Nancy Williams and husband James of El Dorado; two brothers William G. Ainsworth of Durham, North Carolina and the Rev. Charles Ainsworth of Wesson; six grandchildren, William Gerber, Lucy Gerber, Grady Wyse, Elaine Wyse, Chris Williams and wife Erin, and Seth Williams; and two great-grandchildren Lambert and Emersyn Williams.

Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, 4:00 P.M until 6:00P.M. at Bailey Funeral Home in Junction City.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00A.M. Saturday, October 20, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Junction City, AR. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City.

Love offerings can be made in Harold’s memory to the First Baptist Church in Junction City, AR or to M.D. Andersen Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
