The South Arkansas Symphony will present its “Symphony on the Square” concert Saturday in downtown El Dorado.

The annual outdoor concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, during the Memorial Day weekend, on the east side of the Union County Courthouse and will feature patriotic and popular music, as well as a salute to those who have served in the military, according to a press release.

The free event will be sponsored by First Financial Bank, which has sponsored the concert in the past.

“We hope everyone will come out and enjoy this family-friendly evening of music, food and fun as we pay tribute to our country and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defending it,” said Chris Hegi, CEO of First Financial Bank.

The El Dorado High School Thespian Troupe will sell food and drinks to raise money for upcoming productions and projects.

The symphony will be conducted by Kermit Poling. In case of rain, the concert will be moved to the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium.
