Arma Jean Burgie Nunley was born on May 27, 1933, to Ervin and Irene Goodwin Burgie in El Dorado, Arkansas. Her life journey ended on Friday, January 26, 2018, at John R. Williamson Hospice House, El Dorado, AR.
She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church #2. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert E. Nunley; four brothers, Willie Scales, Samson, Jhue, and Jack Burgie; three sisters, Rosie Lee Hall, Arizona Amos and Odessa Carter.
Survivors are her husband, George Washington Nunley, El Dorado, AR; one son, Terry Nunley, El Dorado, AR; three sisters, Earlie T. Brown, El Dorado, AR, Naomi Russell, and Bertha Wilkins both of San Angelo, TX; two step-daughters, Mildred Gamble and Geneva Loveless both of Little Rock, AR and two grandchildren.
Public visitation will be Friday, February 2, 2018 from noon until 4:30 p.m. at Sims Mortuary. Services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Morning Star Baptist Church with Reverend Felton Burgie, eulogist.
