El Dorado freshmen girls win

MONTICELLO - El Dorado’s freshman girls basketball team remained undefeated Monday by knocking off Monticello 46-26.

The Lady Wildcats, who improved to 7-0 with the win, trailed 11-9 at the end of the first quarter before rallying to lead 19-15 at intermission.

El Dorado extended its lead to 33-20 at the end of the third quarter before winning by the final margin. Carshaila Rozier led a balanced attack with 14 points.

Kalese Moseby was also in double figures with 10 points, while Destiny Davis had nine points and Braylee Johnson finished with eight points for the Lady Wildcats.

MONTICELLO - Charalyn Rester had 16 points, as the Lady Wildkittens improved their record to 6-1 with a dominant win.

Lindsey Lockhart was also in double figures with 10 points with Mallory Whitten adding eight points for the Lady Wildkittens.

Warren 48,

Junction City 29

JUNCTION CITY - Jay Johnson and Lamontre Hankton had 11 points apiece, but it wasn’t enough, as Junction City’s junior boys fell at the Dual State Tournament Monday.

The tournament resumes on Thursday.
