El Dorado's varsity cheerleading squad swept the Game Day Division and was awarded Game Day grand champions Saturday at the El Dorado Invitational, which was held at Wildcat Arena.

Barton junior high also won grand champs of the Jr. High performance division. El Dorado's junior varsity squad also won its division.

“The varsity team is really doing well on focusing and executing their routine. I hope they can continue to push for excellence as we head into the last week of competition season,” said El Dorado coach Tab Bledsoe. “We compete in Hot Springs Tuesday and then the state championship competition is Saturday. I am so proud of all the hard work they have put in this season.”

The varsity cheerleaders posted a score of 94.67 to claim Overall grand champions. Texarkana finished second.

El Dorado won Game Day Band Chant prelims; Game Day Crowd Leading prelims and Game Day Fight Song prelims.

Nashville won the Senior High 4A-5A Performance with Magnolia taking second.

Smackover won the 2A-3A Senior High Performance with Parkers Chapel taking second and Junction City third.

Barton won Junior High Performance High Point with a score of 84. Barton won Junior High 4A-5A Performance with Nashville taking second.

Parkers Chapel won Junior High Game Day.
