The Veterans of Comedy tour is stopping in El Dorado on Oct. 6 at the American Legion Post 10.

The Veterans of Comedy is a group of comedians that have served in the armed forces. They are nationally touring comedians who have made their mission to entertain veterans and active duty military.

Will C, founder of The Veterans of Comedy, will perform along with Erik Knowles and Brett James.

Will C, originally from Kansas City, Missouri, now calls Los Angeles his home. Will has been on “Gene Simmons Family Jewels,” “Storage Hunters,” “MOM” and blockbusters “Hail,” “Caesar” and “Gone Girl.” Will C has also been heard on XM/Sirius Radio, “The Bob and Tom Show,” National Lampoon Radio and All Comedy Radio.

Brett James, originally from Orlando, Florida, now calls Oklahoma City, Oklahoma his home. James has proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for the last 20 years and has risen to the rank of master sergeant. James has also quickly risen through the ranks of the comedy world, performing at festivals, clubs and military bases throughout the country. He is known for his high energy and being relatable.

Erik Knowles, originally from Beaumont, Texas, now makes his home in San Diego, California. Knowles has worked with comedians Sarah Silverman, Pauly Shore, Bobby Lee and Zach Galifianakis, just to name a few. He was a finalist at the California Comedy Festival and The World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas. Knowles has performed in comedy clubs, casinos and military bases all over California, Arizona, Nevada and Texas.

The mission of The Veterans of Comedy is to make as many people laugh as possible, whether civilian, veteran, active or reservist.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. Oct. 6 and the show starts at 7 p.m. The weekly American Legion entertainment dance will follow at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available at PJ’S Coffee on the square and Ann-Tee-Key’s located in Strong.

Tickets will be $10 if bought at PJ’s Coffee or Ann-Tee-Key’s, but they are limited. Tickets can also be purchased online for $12.52 per ticket or $15 at the door, if any seats remain.

The American Legion Auxiliary will also provide plates for $6 including hot dogs or burgers, fries, drinks and other food.
