EL DORADO — Anthony Forest Products LLC and Anthony Forest Products-Laminating, both in El Dorado, will receive recognition on Wednesday from the state Department of Labor for accumulative safety awards.
Anthony Forest Products-Laminating (a division of Canfor) is the recipient of a three-year accumulative safety award, said Leon Jones Jr., director of the Arkansas Department of Labor, in a news release issued Friday.
“Fifty-eight employees have accumulated three years without a lost day away from work due to a work-related injury or illness between Jan. 1, 2014 and Dec. 31, 2016,” Jones said.
Anthony Forest Products LLC is the recipient of a one-year accumulative safety award after 120 employees accumulated one year without a lost day away from work due to a work-related injury or illness between Jan. 1, 2016 and Jan. 1. 2017.
“The company has a safety program in effect and a safety committee consisting of both employees and management,” Jones said.
An award ceremony will be held at noon on Wednesday at Anthony Forest Products.
A second award ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. at Anthony Forest Products-Laminating.
“The Arkansas Department of Labor, the Arkansas Insurance Department and the Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission are pleased to present this award to Arkansas companies who excel in on-the-job safety,” Jones said.
