Welcome “Pee Wee” Turner Jr., 64, of El Dorado, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.
He was born on Sept. 14, 1951 in El Dorado. He was the son of Welcome Turner Sr. and Sleta Willis Turner.
He was a member of Mount Sinai Freewill Baptist Church. He was a 1969 graduate of New Hope High School in Mount Holly. He was a graduate of University of Arkansas Pine Bluff. He later taught in the Mount Holly Public Schools. Later, he was employed as an inspector and then a supervisor with ConAgra.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Dorothy Turner Murry.
Survivors are two sons, Jeffrey Turner of El Dorado and Jeremy Turner of Fayetteville; one daughter, Marcie Turner of El Dorado; one brother, Travis Turner of El Dorado; one sister, Terry Jamerson of Magnolia; and four grandchildren.
Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, at Mount Sinai Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. John M. Miles officiating.
Burial will follow in Mount Sinai Cemetery by Andrews Funeral Home.
Public viewing will be held from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. today at Andrews.
