Running like a girl: Carrie Jackson excels in sport she once left behind

June 21, 2020 8:09 p.m.

Carrie Jackson used to be a runner. She gave the sport up in high school and left it at that for 21 years as she married and became a nurse. Now that she's picked it back up, she's leaving others in the dust. Starting with 5Ks, Carrie has paid her dues in the world of competitive and charitable running, having competed in marathons, triathalons and Ironman competitions. She also recently qualified to run in the 2020 Boston Marathon, which has been re-scheduled to a virtual event in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
