Putting out the Flames

Traffic came to a halt Thursday morning as both lanes of Highway 7 near the Main Street exit were closed while El Dorado firefighters tackled a truck fire. The diesel truck was hauling a Get-Rid-of-It dumpster and caught fire near the cab section. The driver said that he begin smelling fuel so he pulled over before the fire started. He said he tried to put it out using his fire extinguisher, but "I guess it was too much."
