At around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, the moon started to travel into the earth's shadow, entering into a lunar eclipse. The eclipse lasted several hours with the moon moving into and out of the earth's shadow. When within the shadow, the moon turned a dark, rust red color due to the angle its light entered the earth's atmosphere. Michael Shine/News-Times
