Russellville eliminates Drillers in tourney

CONWAY - The El Dorado Drillers left the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning and fell short to Russellville 10-9 in an elimination game of the Arkansas American Legion Junior State Tournament Saturday at Hendrix College. The Drillers ended their season with a 9-15-1 record.

West Side Christian senior-to-be Anna Williams tore her ACL during a volleyball game in September, just a few weeks after committing to play at the University of Central Arkansas. Last week’s UCA Elite Volleyball Camp in Conway was Williams’ first time back on the court since the injury.

Ramsey claims youth rodeo championship

SHAWNEE, Okla. - Smackover's Hunter Ramsey earned a youth rodeo championship Friday night, winning the bareback bronc riding crown at the 26th annual International Finals Youth Rodeo at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center. The world's richest youth rodeo awarded more than $250,000 in prize money, championship saddles and buckles after the finals performance.
