Months of uncertainty surrounding the Strong football program is now at a conclusion.

In a somewhat sudden turn of events, Jerry Langston has come out of a brief retirement to reclaim the role as Strong’s head football coach. He replaces Jay Vines, who had taken over the program, but was hired earlier this week as the head ninth grade coach at Camden Fairview.

Leaving a smaller school for the wows of a much larger institution is common.

However, there were a series of incidents that led to Vines’ departure....
