Local football teams square off in scrimmages

Three area football squads convened in Parkers Chapel for a 7-on-7 competition Wednesday morning.

When the action was concluded, each participating coach departed the field extremely satisfied with how things went.

“It was good to come out here and get a chance to play against somebody else,” said Smackover assistant coach Shane Davis. “We looked good at times, but there’s a lot of work that still needs to be done. Hopefully we’ll be ready when the season gets here.”
