JUNCTION CITY – The Dragons had their first day of spring football practice on Monday with 35 players in pads.

Spring ball will continue today, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday the team will work in the weightroom as two members take part in the Meet of Champions track event. Three more athletes had doctor’s appointments Monday and missed practice.

Monday’s effort was typical of spring ball, with a lot of basics and fundamentals covered. The team did work on both offensive and defensive drills but never ran live action. Schools are restricted to two hours of ...
