The El Dorado Marketing Implementation Task Force approved a funding request Thursday to help promote the Boomtown Classic college football game and discussed a possible partnership to broaden El Dorado’s recognition as a Great American Main Street city.

Bob Risor, a former member of the task force who is now heading up a committee to plan the Boomtown Classic, requested $10,000 to advertise and promote the game between Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia and the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
