![]() Winning smile Jordan Burns, 16, shows off the trophy he won at the 2008 Mr. Ebony Union County Beautillion. Burns took second place in the event. The Norphlet High School student will dance today in the Underground Talent Search competition in Monroe, La. He will be the youngest contestant. News-Times Staff Jordan Burns was 9 or 10 years old when he first realized he had a natural talent and love for dancing. He had competed in a Norphlet school talent show – his first ever – and he was amazed when people were still talking about his performance three days later. Since then, the 16-year-old Norphlet High School junior’s slick dance moves have been showcased in several other talent shows and events in Union County and as a part of his youth praise dance team at New Providence Baptist Church.
