FELSENTHAL – A major overhauling of Felsenthal’s water lines was proposed at the monthly meeting of the Felsenthal City Council on Tuesday. Engineer Bill Gaunt outlined the feasibility of enlarging most of the lines from two-, three- or four-inch pipes to six-inch pipes.

Gaunt explained the process for applying for a grant which would cover 50 to 75 percent of the more than $241,000 cost for the upgrade. The improved system, according to Gaunt, would include several new six-inch fire hydrants.
