Birthday celebration

Elsie Belcher Russell celebrated her 100th birthday on Thursday with a party at Hillsboro Manor Nursing Home. She was born April 15, 1909, in McGehee, and has been a lifelong resident of Arkansas. She was admitted to Hillsboro Manor Life Care Center in 1967 and married fellow resident James Willie Russell on Sept. 8, 1988, in a ceremony hosted by the facility staff. He died in 2002.
