• John A. Dennis, 35, of Norphlet, was arrested Thursday for breaking or entering. Melanie Botner reported that Dennis was in the backyard of her residence in the 1400-block of West Block, holding one of her dogs, and when she told him to leave, he placed his hands around the dog’s neck. Botner said she then ran to her vehicle and called police. El Dorado police said they found Dennis hiding in the basement of a guest house on the property and took him into custody.
