SMACKOVER – The Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources in Smackover will host David Jean, archeologist with the Arkansas Archeological Survey located at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Jean will present a slide presentation from the Maya ruins in Central America.

According to Sherry Franques, director of education, “This is a great program to close the Mystery of the Mayan Medallion exhibit. We hope that visitors have a better understanding of this ancient culture and how it relates to today.” The last day of the exhibit will be Sunday.
