FARMERVILLE, La. – Once again, a small school will merge with a larger school. The 65 students at Bernice (La.) High School students in grades nine through 12 will join the 240 students at Farmerville High School beginning the 2009-2010 school year, members of the Union Parish School Board decided Monday at their monthly meeting.

The Bernice facility would continue to provide education for pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade classes, according to Superintendent Steven Dozier.
