JUNCTION CITY - Several Junction City aldermen took the oath of office when the Junction City Council held its first meeting of the year on Jan. 8.

Aldermen Ronnie Sehon, Jeremy Carter, Allen Simmons, Gene Summers, James Warren and Randy Washam took the oath, which was administered by Justice of the Peace Benny Vestal.

Following the oath, Junction City Mayor Larry Carter recognized Dr. Nicholas Hurkes, who asked the council to consider a “No Parking” sign across the street from the high school to enable the school buses to leave the campus more easily. Carter said the c...
