DALLAS – The Environmental Protection Agency has ordered Arklatex Operating Co., Inc., to cease discharges of pollutants at two of its oil field production and brine disposal facilities in Union and Ouachita counties.

The facilities were discharging oil field brine to waters of the United States in violation of the Clean Water Act, the EPA said Monday.
