The Union County Sheriff’s Office and the 13th Judicial District Drug Task Force arrested John Marshall Daniels, 47, of Strong, on several charges Friday afternoon.

Union County Sheriff Ken Jones said investigators attempted to stop Daniels on Arkansas 129 South near the Strong Elementary School, but Daniels fled the scene, forcing officers to shoot out the rear tire of his vehicle. Daniels’ vehicle came to a stop on Vestal Road, south of Strong.
