A Union County man is facing felony arson charges this week after allegedly setting several fires on Monday in Junction City.

According to a report from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Charles Richard Slaughter, 42, of Junction City, was arrested for reckless burning and arson.

His bond was set at $10,000.

Authorities say that Slaughter allegedly set several fires in the area of Berdell Lane after making threats to “burn property.”
