Museum hosts quilt show

SMACKOVER – Threads of Natural Resources, a quilt show sponsored by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, was held on Aug. 2 at the Museum of Natural Resources.

More than 150 people attended and voted on their favorite quilts, a news release said. The quilts were made over the past year as part of the Nature Quilting classes conducted at the museum.

Phyllis Speer of the AGFC and AETN’s “Cooking with Phyllis” presented seminars on dutch oven cooking and birding. Pat Knighten, AGFC project wild state coordinator discussed the American alligator including a real alligator...
