Honorable people can differ on the subject of the lottery, according to Larry Page, executive director of the Arkansas Faith and Ethics Council.

But when considering the lottery issue, Page said it’s not advantageous to look at the benefits without considering the costs. “And I submit to you, the cost is pretty high.”

Page told members of the El Dorado Civitan Club Thursday that he would not speak about personal opinions based on Judeo-Christian values, but instead would discuss “corporate morality” which he said was the collective morality of society as a whole.
