The El Dorado Economic Development Board moved toward securing funding for the proposed multipurpose conference center during a regular meeting Tuesday.

The board will take to the El Dorado City Council on Thursday a request to hire Morgan Keegan, a Little Rock investment firm, to handle a bond issue to construct the multipurpose facility, which will be owned by the city and operated and maintained by South Arkansas Community College.
