The El Dorado Chamber of Commerce’s annual Educators Breakfast, honoring new teachers and the 2008 Teachers of the Year, will be held at 7:30 a.m. on Friday at the El Dorado Golf and Country Club. The cost of the breakfast is $13.

Guest speaker for the breakfast will be Cathi Cox, currently Project ACHIEVE coordinator for Lincoln Parish Schools in Louisiana.

According to a news release from the chamber, Cox left a 17-year career at Choudrant High School in Louisiana in 1998 to become the site coordinator for Louisiana Tech University’s Project LIFE in Ruston.
