Calling El Dorado a “special community,” Dr. Rex Horne Jr., told member of the El Dorado Rotary Club Monday that the people in El Dorado had been good to Ouachita Baptist University.

“Our legacy is tied to so many people here in this part of the state,” said Horne, president of the only private college south of Little Rock.

Horne, who is the 15th president of OBU, grew up in Camden.
