An area resident who had previously been granted a conditional use permit by the El Dorado Planning and Zoning Commission learned Monday that he would have to take further action if he wanted to obtain a federal license to operate a gun repair business from his home.

During the commission’s July meeting, Jeff Mason, of 418 U.S. 167 B, explained that he was looking to expand his hobby of repairing and refinishing firearms, and he was seeking a Federal Firearms License from the U.S. Bureau of Tobacco and Firearms to become a licensed gun dealer.
