El Dorado Public Schools, the El Dorado Education Foundation and the Lee Roy and Melba Beasley Foundation have announced the establishment of the Lee Roy and Melba Beasley Literacy Chair.

“We would like to thank the Beasley Foundation for this generous investment in local education,” said Bob Watson, superintendent of the El Dorado Public School District. “It is a fitting tribute to Lee Roy and Melba Beasley, who were so involved in this area, to continue their work with a chair of literacy.”
