The El Dorado Economic Development Board approved two funding requests Tuesday and agreed to take them to the El Dorado City Council during a regular meeting on Thursday.

The two requests pertained to a proposed El Dorado Forward economic development project to build a business park in the area of U.S. 167 and Champagnolle Road.

Board members approved a request of $13,317.50 for an engineering study on soil at a 40-acre site that will be used as part of a wetlands mitigation requirement for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
