Jim Parrish, process engineering manager for Lion Oil Co., will be the guest speaker when the Civitan Club meets at noon on Thursday at Immanuel Baptist Church Family Life Center.

Raised in the Ozark hills in southwestern Missouri, Parrish moved to the El Dorado area in 1990 to begin working in an engineering position with El Dorado Chemical Co. He worked there for about 10 years before accepting a job with Lion Oil. He started work at Lion Oil in 2000 as a project engineer and worked as a senior project engineer prior to his current position.
