As the filing period for school board candidates came to a close at noon on Friday, only one race had developed – between Wes Taylor, incumbent, and William (Eddie) Gandy for a five-year term in Parkers Chapel.

This year’s election will be held from 7:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 16.
