The 2008 Babe Ruth 16-18 Southwest Regional Tournament will begin today with eight teams from Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi competing in the double elimination tourney at the El Dorado-Union County Recreation Complex, 2409 Champagnolle Road.

A Mississippi team will play an East Texas team at 10 a.m. today and at 1 p.m. today, a north Arkansas team will compete against a Camden team.
