Harvey McHenry, 25, of 200 Redwood St., in Strong, and Albert K. Hartzfield, 18, of 2034 Aurelle Road in Strong, had first appearance hearings before District Judge George Van Hook Jr. Monday in Union County District Court. The men are charged in the weekend shooting of Stephen Ford in Strong.

McHenry was charged with attempted first degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and Hartsfield was charged with being an accomplice to attempted murder. Van Hook said that he found probable cause existed for all charges.
