A domestic disturbance escalated into gunfire Thursday, leaving one woman injured and her husband facing a litany of charges in connection with the shooting.

El Dorado police responded at 8:42 p.m. to a report of shots fired at 35 Memphis Heights, and upon arrival, several witnesses told them that James Rodgers had shot his estranged wife, Trisha Gill.

Gill was lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the left leg, officers said.
