John Fields has been selected to serve as the new pulpit minister at Hillsboro Street Church of Christ, 1322 W. Hillsboro. His local ministry began July 6.

A native of Atkins, Fields graduated from Atkins High School and continued his education at Harding University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Bible.

Prior to coming to El Dorado, Fields served churches in Clinton, Ark., for five years; Valley Mills, Texas, for four years; and Elkin, N.C., for four years.
