A property owner and supporters approached El Dorado City Council members Thursday about land acquisition efforts for the proposed multipurpose conference center.

Gene Wells, owner of Gene’s Auto Supply, 309 S. West Ave., has made several appearances before the council since the land acquisition process began, and during the council’s agenda meeting, Wells asked for an update.

“I want to know what’s going on with my property,” he told aldermen.
