The Union County Genealogical Society will meet at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Barton Library. Ray Ellen will be the speaker and his topic will be The Great Depression and its effects on El Dorado. Visitors are invited to attend.

He is a native of El Dorado and graduated from El Dorado High School in 1947. He then completed his education at Frank Wiggins Trade School in Los Angeles.
