El Dorado Schools Superintendent Bob Watson gave the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce an update on the new El Dorado High School Wednesday during the July meeting.

The new school is designed to house 1,600 students, Watson said. The current school is designed for 1,200 students.

The size of the school has gone from 165,000 square feet to a new estimate of 317,000 square feet, Watson told the group.
