The South Arkansas Arts Center will host an artist reception from 6 until 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, for the 2008 Annual Juried Art Competition exhibition. The competition is sponsored this year by Linda and Louie Hall. The exhibition is on display in the Merkle Gallery from July 3-30.

This year 236 entries by 95 artists from 22 states were received for consideration. Thirty-two pieces were selected for inclusion in the exhibition, including works by seven local artists including Sandy Bennett, Brenda Bryant, Margaret Combs, Patrick L. Johnson, Mike Means and Julia Waschka.
