Local detective graduates from crime scene program

Detective Catherine Phillips of the El Dorado Police Department graduated on June 18 from the Crime Scene Technician Certificate Program, Session X, at the Criminal Justice Institute, University of Arkansas System.

Phillips has been with the EPD for 14 years. She completed the intensive, six-month program by attending a three-day course each month, from January to June, at the CJI.

The program consists of 133 hours of classroom instruction and covers major aspects of crime scene investigation, such as crime scene photography, latent print procession, impression evidence...
